9 Skin Clinics In Seoul For Aesthetic Treatments, Recommended By Beauty Insiders And Enthusiasts (2025)

When you talk about South Korea, many things come to mind: K-pop, K-dramas, K-food and, let’s be honest, aesthetic surgery.

These days, going to Seoul for a holiday often includes a visit to the doctor’s office to get a procedure done, from peels to address hyperpigmentation to lasers that lift and tighten, and a whole slew of other aesthetic treatments.

So why go all the way to Seoul to do an aesthetic procedure? Reasons often cited include more affordable prices, tax refunds for greater savings, highly skilled medical professionals and the availability of new treatments that might not have reached Singapore as yet.

And with booking appointments getting easier with the use of direct messages (DMs) via the clinic’s social media pages as well as KakaoTalk or WhatsApp, it’s no wonder more people are willing to give it a try.

But trying to find the right clinic can be overwhelming, especially when there is so much information available. So what’s the next best thing to do? Ask the people who have been there, done that and have plans to go back for more.

Ahead, 11 women share their list of tried-and-trusted skin clinics in Seoul, along with their personal experiences, to help with your research before your next trip.

1. Circle Clinic

Prep work

“Thanks to my friend who looked so good, youthful and snatched when we met, I had to ask where she went and what treatments she did. She recommended me to see Dr Suh See Won at Circle Clinic.”

Treatment procedures

SmallFit Laser, Hydrafacial and No Pain (NP) Rejuran Healer skin booster (via micro-needling stamping).

“The SmallFit Laser is said to enhance the jawline while contouring the face. My facial line gradually slimmed down without any irritation, swelling and, most importantly, there was no downtime and no pain. I didn’t even have to use a numbing cream for this.

But my absolute favourite was the No Pain (NP) Rejuran Healer skin booster. Usually when you get skin boosters done at other clinics, you’d get these small bumps all over the face that can last about two to three days. But with the NP skin booster, there were no bumps after! It was incredible. I did get a numbing cream for this treatment, but the pain level was only about two to three out of 10, which is quite bearable.

I think this is why a lot of celebrities and K-pop idols come here because they do everything really elegantly and naturally, which I prefer.”

Communication

“The doctor is fluent in English so I had no problem with communication during the consult. And all my follow-up questions that I asked before and after the procedures were always promptly replied in English, even from the staff.”

Why I love it

“The price is definitely a bit on the higher end, but you really get that one-on-one service and intimate consultation with the doctor. The doctors here are very knowledgeable and I personally love that they only recommend procedures that will suit me and my face for my age.

I’ve introduced Circle Clinic to family, friends and followers. And of course, it doesn’t hurt that a lot of K-pop idols visit Circle Clinic too, like singer-actor Rain and the newly debuted K-pop group, MEOVV.”

Last words

“If the prices seems too good to be true, they may be! Some places offer fake Ultherapy treatments, so you really have to do your research and be careful.

You can DM a few clinics you’ve been eyeing or seen recommendations for. Ask them all your questions and check the prices and answers that they give. It’s also good to check customers’ reviews too.”

Circle Clinic is located at level 4, 20 Dosan-daero 57-gil, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. Visit its website for more information.

2. JFeel Dermatology Clinic

Prep Work

Jfeel Dermatology is located right outside the Hongik University station exit. I prioritised finding a clinic with a convenient location, since I only had one free day in Seoul. I searched for clinics near popular areas where I could explore before and after my appointment to minimise travel time.

I also extensively researched on TikTok, where I watched reviews from others who had visited various clinics. Additionally, I looked up local reviews on Naver to get a sense of the best options from a local perspective.”

Treatment Procedures

Five Brightening Laser consists of five different lasers—Genesis, Pico Toning, TONURV, ND-Yag and Helium Neon—to address blemishes and hyperpigmentation.

“The procedure was quite comfortable, with only a mild warm sensation as each laser was used. You’ll wear protective goggles during the treatment, allowing you to relax or even nap.

It finished with a cooling mask to soothe the skin, followed by skincare and sunscreen application, and I was ready to continue with my day comfortably.”

Communication

“As I can converse in Korean, the consultation was pretty straightforward. But they did assign me a staff member who was fluent in both English and Korean for me as they knew I’m a native English speaker. She was incredibly helpful, providing detailed explanations of the treatments in English and Korean. But don’t worry if you can only speak English, as the clinic has excellent staff who can assist you without any language barriers.”

Why I Love It

“The excellent price point, especially given the location and quality of treatments. The staff are highly knowledgeable and can address any concerns you may have. The clinic’s multi-lingual staff also means that language is never a barrier. The entire process was efficient, allowing me to complete my treatment in under an hour.”

Last Words

“Plan your visit carefully, especially if your time in Seoul is limited. Opt for a clinic that is conveniently located near to your other activities to avoid wasting time on travel.”

Zenn Tan, digital creator

JFeel Dermatology Clinic is located at Level 5 & 7, 166 Yanghwa-ro Mapo-gu, Seoul. Visit its website for more information.

3. Glow Clinic

Prep Work

“I did my research on Gangnam Unni and Modoodoc, two platforms that native Koreans use when researching on skin and aesthetic treatments. From there, I shortlisted a few clinics and ultimately chose Glow Clinic due to the good results.

I personally try to avoid the clinics that cater to tourists as that usually meant you would get a more ‘factory-style’ treatment at a very fast pace. So this led me to look for clinics that are one-doctor only because that would allow me to have more time with the doctor for a more meticulous treatment.”

Treatment Procedures

Forehead Botox, trapezius Botox and Inmode FX (a non-invasive radiofrequency lifting treatment).

“For the forehead Botox, the doctor first made me frown to observe my forehead muscles, and very meticulously targeted the required areas. I did feel a heaviness above my eye area for the next two hours because my muscles weren’t used to relaxing yet, but I was prepared for this as I was informed of it happening during the consult.

But as there was no numbing cream used for the trapezius Botox—only cooling metal plates to semi-numb the area—and due to the muscles being larger and there being more injection points, the pain was slightly higher.

The Inmode FX, on the other hand, felt like someone was pinching me with a warm straightening iron as it involved two prongs pinching your facial fat and sending high radiofrequency energy to reduce the fat deposits and tighten the skin. The downtime for this was about three to seven days, depending on how quickly your skin heals from the bruising.”

Communication

“When I reached out to them, I had to do everything in Korean because the staff could only communicate in Korean. But fortunately, the doctor could speak English.

I did an online consultation via KaKaoTalk prior to leaving for Seoul, where I was able to share my overall skin concerns. On the day itself, I had a face-to-face consultation with the doctor, who then recommended different procedures that I could consider.

The good news: Some of my followers have shared that they’ve been communicating with the clinic either via translations on KakaoTalk or in English now.”

Why I Love It

“I’ve tried two different clinics in Seoul, but I always recommend Glow Clinic. While the price is slightly higher than the clinics catering to tourists, the quality of service is higher as well—you get what you pay for.

The environment is really calming and there weren’t more than a few people in the clinic at any one point in time (I’ve seen 50 people waiting in line at other clinics), so you get close attention and care here. The staff are also friendly and they make sure that you are all good before allowing you to leave as well.”

Last Words

“If you prefer more attentive care, have more time to visit different clinics and are willing to spend more, consider going to clinics that specialise in a certain treatment. Look up reviews on apps like Unni and Modoodoc (both available on the Apple and Google Play stores) to identify which clinics specialise in Botox, skin treatments, Ultherapy etc.”

Glow Clinic is located at Level 11, 337 Gangnam-daero Seocho-gu, Seoul. Visit its website for more information.

4. May Clinic

Prep Work

“I usually watch review videos posted by influencers or YouTubers documenting their experiences.

I prefer clinics that give a more exclusive feel and qualitative experience as opposed to clinics that are more of a ‘factory line’. They may be more expensive, but are still cheaper than Singapore in my experience.

I ended up at May Clinic because a beauty influencer had posted about it on Instagram. I then visited the clinic’s official account and watched all the videos posted there. It also had good reviews on Google by tourists, especially Japanese as they’re known for their high standards.”

Treatment Procedures

Ultherapy, Rejuran Healer (via micro-needling stamping) and Pico laser.

“I had to stash my bag in the locker in the communal vanity room and then proceed to wash my face. It’s a pretty standard procedure in a lot of Seoul clinics. But having a chic and spa-like vanity room did help elevate the experience.

I was then led to a private waiting room where numbing cream was applied. As I’m pain-averse, I was thankful that the nurse allowed me to sit with it for an hour.

The treatment started off with Ultherapy. I was expecting pain thanks to warnings from friends who did the treatment in Singapore. So I was pleasantly surprised that I didn’t feel any pain at all, just some slight pricking sensations near the jaw bone. The rest of the treatments were also painless. I liked that Dr Lina Song was fast, precise and confident. We even chatted during the procedures and I thought she was really nice, friendly and open to sharing.”

Communication

“I met with Dr Lina Song who speaks English really well so we had no problems with communication. I liked that despite it being a busy clinic, she took the time to listen to my skin concerns and recommended treatments that would be suitable for a short-stay tourist like me. And she was very cheerful and encouraging, so that gave me the courage and comfort to go through with the treatments.”

Why I Love It

“Besides being cheerful, friendly and speaking English well, Dr Song was also not pushy in recommending treatments. During the consultation, she will recommend treatments that would best suit your skin concerns and their respective prices, but you are free to choose what you want or don’t want to do.

The winning combination of the strong numbing cream and Dr Song’s skills made the treatments relatively pain-free for me. And the clinic is also very conveniently located in Myeongdong.”

Last Words

“Watch treatment review videos as they allow you to get a sense of the latest treatments available, the doctors and nurses’ professionalism and expertise, the machines and products used in the clinic, the clinic’s ambience, level of customer service (foreigner-friendly) and comfort level.

And as Korea is already popular with tourists heading there for aesthetic and beauty treatments, read foreigner reviews on Google to see how the clinic responds to negative reviews as well.”

— Ingrid How, business owner

May Clinic is located at Level 3, 14 Myeongdong 8-gil Jung District, Seoul. Visit its website for more information.

5. YD Skin Clinic

Prep Work

“My search for a reliable dermatologist usually starts with a lot of scrolling through content online and asking trusted friends who have been to Seoul for treatments. And then reading up on the packages and promotions of these recommended clinics.

I ended up choosing YD Clinic, recommended by my Korean friend who has fantastic skin. It’s situated in Gongdeok, away from the touristy areas of Myeongdong and Hongdae, and it services a number of celebrities, like actor Chae Jong Hyeop, as well as announcer and host Jang Sung Kyu.”

Treatment Procedures

Rejuran Healer, skin Botox and Waterglow injection (hyaluronic acid skin boosters).

“I wanted treatments that targeted my enlarged pores and skin’s lack of moisture, and decided upon a three-in-one treatment that would be delivered with a single dermatology injector gun that the doctor will stamp all over the skin. This would minimise the number of times my face would be injected so it’s able to target the pores, rejuvenate the skin and infuse moisture at the same time.

The micro-needling stamping wasn’t mild—you could tell that the needles did go deep enough to do what it needed to do. Thank goodness for the powerful numbing cream. To help with the reduction of swelling from the injections, a mask and light therapy were done at the end.”

Communication

“While English isn’t spoken fluently here, Dr Kim Yoon Dong was very personable and tried his best to explain and recommend the treatments with his limited English. If there was a treatment I had initially wanted but he felt wasn’t suitable, he would say so. This prevented me from doing treatments that he felt were unnecessary.

The staff were also very kind and helpful; not at all pushy and very patient. They did their best to communicate with whatever English and Mandarin was within their capability.”

Why I Love It

“For people who don’t like the mass market atmosphere, YD Clinic is quiet and you won’t feel like you’re being rushed from one room to another to accommodate the next patient. I liked that it wasn’t flooded with people; the cleansing step was done by therapists and you could rest in a private room as you wait for the numbing cream to take effect.

The price point was reasonable and the service was also good. The team really does their best to make you feel comfortable.”

Last Words

“It’s best to think through several factors when planning to do aesthetic treatments in Seoul: how much are you willing to spend, potential downtime and understand what skin concerns you wish to address so that you can make an educated decision from the doctor’s recommendations.”

— Rosemarie Heng, brand manager

YD Skin Clinic is located at Level 8 Gongdeok Building, 568 Dohwa-dong Mapo-gu, Seoul. Visit its website for more information.

6. Ppeum Korean Beauty Clinic

Prep Work

“I was inundated by the choices of skin clinics in Seoul so I relied on recommendations from friends who have had good experiences.

I visited two clinics last year: Ppeum and Muse Clinic Gangnam, both of which came highly recommended. Ppeum also runs attractive promotions for first-timers and I was impressed by the breadth of their treatments.”

Treatment Procedures

Ultherapy, Thermage, Titanium laser and jawline Botox.

“I found Ultherapy and Titanium rather painful, despite having had numbing cream administered. I reckoned that my pain tolerance was low that day, as my friends (and even my own mother who tried the same treatments when we were in Seoul recently) didn’t find the treatments to be painful. The doctors were all friendly, but focused on the procedures, so weren’t overly chatty or distracting.”

Communication

“Ppeum has a huge service team and interpreters for various languages. I was assigned an English interpreter who was articulate, patient and friendly. During my first visit, he translated my questions as well as the recommendations from his colleagues. It was a very smooth process! The interpreter was even in the room with me during my first treatment to assist in case anything emergent arose during my procedures.”

Why I Love It

“I’d definitely recommend Ppeum over Muse, given that Ppeum has a few outlets and its facilities are more comfortable. Plus, the pricing was transparent and affordable.

Muse also had very reasonable prices, but the facility was a bit more cramped and felt more like a dentist’s office rather than a beauty salon.”

Last Words

“Be realistic about your goals—you’re at a skin clinic, not a plastic surgery centre—and try to pace yourself when it comes to treatments. It’s easy to get carried away wanting to get too much done because prices are so reasonable.”

— Jem Loh, head of communications

Ppeum Korean Beauty Clinic – Gangnam

Prep Work

“I started by asking friends and contacts whom I knew had tried aesthetic treatments in Seoul for their recommendations, and also checked out TikTok and Instagram for reviews.

I actually booked three different clinics, but ended up going to the main Ppeum branch at Gangnam last minute as the appointment date and time suited my schedule better.”

Treatment Procedures

Ultherapy, Thermage, Titanium laser (using infrared light energy to tighten the skin) and skin tag removal on the neck and face.

“I opted for sleep sedation as I have a low pain threshold. Fortunately, it all went very smoothly—I didn’t feel any pain nor had any downtime when I was out of sedation. Though on hindsight, I don’t think I would choose to be sedated for the next time due to the risks involved whilst overseas.

I was largely attended to by the clinic’s reception and nursing staff, and the doctor only did the treatment procedures. And while the doctor did explain the protocols and answered my questions, it was quite fast and her bedside manner was a little brusque. It left the impression that she had a lot of patients to attend to and just wanted to get the treatments done quickly. But I’ve since had friends who have also visited Ppeum and shared that they’ve had doctors with more pleasant bedside manners.”

Communication

“Ppeum is a very tourist-friendly brand of clinics, so I knew for sure that communication in English would not be an issue. Plus, there were loads of reviews online from foreign visitors and it seemed like a safe choice for a first-timer.

They had staff at the reception that could speak multiple languages. My consultation was in English. In fact, the consultant had lived in Singapore for a number of years and she could clearly explain all the treatment options and answer my many options with ease.”

Why I Love It

“I’d definitely recommend Ppeum if you’re looking to do straightforward, non-invasive treatments, mainly because of the pricing. Consultation was easy and they have a wide variety of treatments, from Korean to international brands.”

Last Words

“Check the downtime of the treatments because you’re on holiday after all, and might not want to pose for photos with a blotchy face. And opt for treatments that are effective with just one session rather than those that require regular or multiple visits.

You can also consider trying treatments that might have been on your radar for some time but aren’t available in Singapore. But do go to a reputable doctor if you’re keen to try it.”

— Anya Hwang, marcomms professional

Ppeum Korean Beauty Clinic–Gangnam is located at Level 2, 55 Seocho-daero 77-gil Seocho-gu, Seoul. Visit its website for more information.

Ppeum Korean Beauty Clinic – Hongdae

Prep Work

“It started when I asked my Korean colleague where would be a good place to get skin treatment done that’s foreigner-friendly but locals also wouldn’t mind going to. She gave me a few places to check out, so I scrolled through social media to find out more.

I ended up visiting Ppeum because it was easy to book via WhatsApp and the website was also in English. And they have branches in popular areas like Myeongdong, Hongdae and Gangnam, which made it easier to get an appointment.”

Treatment Procedures

Rejuran Healer.

“They do it via a micro-needling pen that stamps your face with multiple needles injecting the booster. And while numbing cream is applied before the procedure, you may still feel some pain. It was uncomfortable, but still relatively bearable. The doctors that administered the treatment were very proficient and efficient. But due to the language barrier, they don’t really do much small talk.”

Communication

“Very friendly, with English translators onsite. The consultation was not done with a doctor, which I felt was a bit of a downside. So you should have already done some basic research and know what you want before going there.

I knew what I wanted to do and so just enquired about that procedure. The translators onsite were very proficient and could understand my skin concerns and explained the various treatments well. I did get a doctor who spoke English once, which was great.”

Why I Love It

“Foreigner-friendly, offers competitive pricing and is somewhere that even the locals wouldn’t mind going. However, it is more suited for someone who already knows what sort of treatment they do (i.e. You’ve tried the treatment in Singapore and want to do the same in Korea because it’s cheaper).”

Last Words

“Ask for recommendations from those who have done treatments before on where to go and how their experience was like. Word-of-mouth is always the best!”

— Cheryl Foong, communications specialist

Ppeum Korean Beauty Clinic–Hongdae is located at Level 4 H-Cube, 140 Yanghwa-ro Mapo-gu, Seoul. Visit its website for more information.

7. BLS Clinic

Prep Work

“I initially got the idea from TikTok, where I got some names of clinics and went to Google their locations and reviews. I also checked out their Instagram accounts to see if they had content that interested me.

I ended up visiting BLS Clinic in Apgujeong mostly due to its convenient location from the hotel I was staying at. The clinic was only about a 10 minute walk away, making it convenient to return to the hotel room after the procedures. From my research, I also knew that I didn’t want to go to a ‘factory’ clinic. I preferred a clinic where I would have adequate time to consult with the doctor on my personal concerns.”

Treatment Procedures

Accure laser (for acne), Titanium laser and exosome injectables.

“After the consultation, I was brought to a room where numbing cream was applied. The therapist who applied the numbing cream could only speak Korean, but she was very reassuring, showing me the products used and giving me the occasional pat on the shoulder to check in.

During the procedures, I was also given a panda soft toy to cuddle and squeeze if I felt pain. The Titanium laser was a little uncomfortable while the Accure laser was very bearable.

The most painful treatment, though not to the point of tears, was the exosome injections at about 7/10 on the pain scale. I’ve never had injectable skin boosters done before so I wasn’t sure what to expect.

The doctor was such a sweetheart though. She showed me the equipment and explained the various steps, showing me the mirror after each procedure. We even managed to have a good chat about Singles Inferno. She was also encouraging during the skin exosome injectables portion, making me feel well taken care of.”

Communication

“The doctor spoke good English. She also took the initiative to identify some other areas of possible concern that I didn’t mention and asked if I was interested in getting fillers done along with my other treatments—I wasn’t.

And though the consultation was quick and to the point, I could tell that she was very experienced.

The downside was that the reception staff couldn’t speak English. But they had a Chinese translator around and I can speak Mandarin, so it wasn’t much of an issue.”

Why I Love It

“While the price point was definitely more expensive than other clinics in Seoul, I really liked the doctor and the reception staff, so it was worth it. I also got to take my time asking questions and getting clarifications where needed.”

Last Words

“Be clear on what results you’re after. The beauty ideals in Korea are extremely high and a doctor can give many suggestions on what they think you should consider getting done. So it’s important to know when to say ‘No, thank you, that’s enough for me today’.

And definitely bring a couple of surgical masks to hide your post-treatment face for a few days.”

— Aileen Bak, training manager

BLS Clinic is located at Level 8, 824 Nonhyeon-ro Gangnam-gu, Seoul. Visit its website for more information.

8. ATOP Beauty Clinic

Prep Work

“I liked researching on TikTok as you can get a glimpse of what the clinics look like, the general ambience and some content creators even go as far as capturing their entire experience, the procedures, the before and after, and even their recovery times.

I was extremely wary of clinics that are too ‘foreigner-friendly’ as they tend to be super mass with a reputation for assembly-line style of service where they try to get you in and out as quickly as possible.

The rumours about ‘foreigner tax’ at these clinics, where they would charge tourists a higher price for certain treatments, also made me do a cost analysis research before picking one that was in a reasonable price range.

With ATOP Beauty Clinic, I knew that there would be at least a decent level of service and be well cared for. I also wanted doctors who would spend time with you, understanding your concerns before personalising your treatment.”

Treatment Procedures

Potenza (a micro-needling treatment using radiofrequency), Juvelook (a skin booster to help improve skin elasticity and texture) and Ultherapy.

“I had actually visited ATOP Plastic Surgery previously to do a non-invasive Ptosis correction procedure (droopy eyelids). The results were satisfactory, which made me visit ATOP Beauty Clinic on my following trip.

But because the treatments were done together and I only had numbing cream on, it was pretty intense and painful for me—almost a 9/10 level of pain. I would definitely encourage anyone doing the same to opt for a higher level of anaesthesia with the clinic.”

Communication

“Prior to my visit, I had already communicated with my English consultant, Gloria, via WhatsApp. She was super helpful and forthcoming with any information that I needed, including treatment time, downtime, pain levels, price etc.

They replied to my messages really quickly, making it very convenient to get all my queries answered before I even flew to Seoul.

Upon arrival at the clinic, Gloria greeted me and was with me throughout my entire visit. She explained my concerns to the doctors who then gave me advice and recommended certain types of treatments for my needs. And even though the doctors could speak some level of English, Gloria made sure that she translated everything for me.”

Why I Love It

“I would definitely recommend it for the knowledgeable doctors who are reliable and trustworthy, the reasonable price point, open and clear communication, and comfortable ambience.”

Last Words

“Do your research way in advance and don’t wait till the last minute. This allows you to reach out to multiple skin clinics before committing to one. Pick the one that provides you with the most detailed information and is the most communicative clinic, because chances are, the service you will get at the clinic will mirror that online communication. Clinics also tend to book up early so if you leave it to the last minute, you may not have many options.

Do your treatments during the first few days of your trip so that if there are any side effects or weird responses from your skin, you can always head back to the clinic to get it checked out.

And don’t blindly follow social media postings—take content creators’ POV with a grain of salt as they may be sponsored by the clinics.”

— Pamela Tan, marketing professional

ATOP Beauty Clinic is located at Level 4 A Tower, 105 Taeheran-ro Gangnam-gu, Seoul.

9. LV Plastic Surgery & Aesthetics

Prep Work

“My friend visited LV Plastic Surgery & Aesthetics and based on her results and experience, I decided to go with her recommendation.”

Treatment Procedures

Rejuran Healer, Juvelook and Juvelook volume (to address loss of facial volume and reduce appearance of wrinkles)

“These were all done under sedation so there was no pain or discomfort during the course of the procedure. It helped that the doctor was very assuring, which put me at ease.

Waking up after the procedures felt just like waking up from a nap, and I could continue to rest in a dedicated room for a bit more as well. I appreciated that the consultant was with me throughout.”

Communication

“The consultation process was very thorough and in English. I had to fill up a form that stated my concerns and types of procedures I was interested in. This was then followed by a meeting with one of the consultants to review what was mentioned in the form. After this process, it was time for my meeting with Dr Lee Seo Hyung, who further explained the process and what to expect out of the procedures that I was interested in doing. What I appreciated was that Dr Lee was very thorough in his explanation.”

Why I Love It

“The procedures are done by a board certified medical professional and the overall experience, although it took around four hours, was good. I felt like my concerns were addressed and that I was not rushed or pushed into doing procedures that I was not comfortable with. I’ve done treatments in Seoul before, but LV feels more personable.”

Last Words

“Besides treatment research and the downtime that comes along with the treatment, you should also find out what the prep work and aftercare is like so you’d still be able to enjoy your holiday.”

— Rachel C, account director
