[#FlashbackEvent 📌]🌍Empowering Change: A Dive into ESG with the UNGCOn August 6th, the FTCC, in partnership with the United Nations Global Compact, hosted an enlightening ESG training session headed by Marsha Macatta-Yambi, Executive Director of the Global Compact Network in Tanzania.The event was a great success, equipping attendees with crucial insights on ESG and highlighting the importance of adopting the UNGC principles and the Sustainable Development Goals.🌱The UN Global Compact (UNGC), launched by the United Nations in 2000, now includes 25,000 members. It encourages businesses to align their strategies with 10 principles categorized into 4 pillars: human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption. UNGC serves as a valuable resource for companies adopting an ESG strategy by providing principles, frameworks, tools, resources, and case studies for best practices. We truly appreciate everything she’s done and we wish her lots of luck in her next adventure.To introduce you to Delphine Barth, here is a description of her career path.She has over 20 years of experience in Africa and holds a degree in Economics and Sociology from the University of Paris-Dauphine.She began her career as a Marketing Director in the agri-food industry before founding two companies, the event and trade marketing company PeopleNoLimit, operating in West Africa, and Agilitis, an executive coaching and management consulting firm, based in Madagascar.Additionally, she is a Business Angel, supporting and mentoring entrepreneurs through The Women Investment Club in Dakar and The Moon Venture in France.She is currently considering opening a branch of Agilitis in Tanzania.
